Norma Gardner lived with her parents, Art and Vondell Gardner. Norma shares many of her adventures in written form as one of the co-authors of this book. Norma met and married Ron Snow and has lived most of her life in or near Brown's Park. It has and always will be a special part of her life. In this book, she shares her life lessons about growing up in Brown's Park, her days of attending school, and her love of the animals she raised and befriended along the way.
The main author of this book, Art Gardner, homesteaded on Douglas Mountain near Brown's Park in Northwestern Colorado. The stories he tells in this book are not just made-up stories, but rather recollections of real-life events that occurred during the life of some of the characters who lived in the area of Brown's Park.
